On September 30th 2022, after undergoing a number of tests and procedures, I was diagnosed with high grade, non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer!
At that point in time, my world suddenly came crashing down and everything stopped!
The Urologist told me my condition was treatable, but would see me undergoing treatment for the next 12 months to 2 years! I don’t think I really processed the information at the time and found myself feeling somewhat numb emotionally.
This blog is the journal of my cancer journey. I hope it will bring some awareness around bladder cancer and perhaps help others who have to travel down this same road.
Some of my posts will be difficult and may be a little confronting, but I need you to see the whole story, warts and all. Perhaps by seeing some of the invasive things I will go through, you will become more aware of your need to care for your own bodies and look for the signs in your own life, before it’s too late.
