On August 16, 2022 I was scheduled for an ultrasound of my bladder just to check that everything was working OK and that my kidneys were functioning as normal.
On the 29th, I was booked into pre-admissions at the hospital to prepare for my upcoming Cystoscopy in the day surgery unit. I had several appointments with clinicians including a pharmacist, nurse and anaesthetist.
My urology surgeon came in and took me to a private room where she explained to me that there were signs of carcinoma in my urine. She wanted to alert me without worrying me too much. She’s a very caring person and I have great faith in her.
